Takumi presents new brand Identity

Takumi is for “When Precision Matters”

“When Precision Matters” has been announced as the new tagline for Takumi Machine Tools. It’s not just a slogan, but rather a statement about what the company does best. Precision, high speed and outstanding part surface finish quality are all top attributes that have been named by customers in after sales surveys conducted by the company  over the past several years.

Takumi achieves these attributes through superior machine design, construction and engineering expertise. For example, many machine tool builders no longer spend the time to hand scrape mating surfaces. However, Takumi believes that the craftsmanship involved - and the benefits it provides - cannot be duplicated mechanically.

Takumi machines have massive castings and rigid structures that are precisely fitted after hand scraping to produce critical frame geometries such as squareness, perpendicularity and parallelism. These perfect geometries are required so the machines can achieve exceptional positioning, repeatability and part accuracy and years of trouble-free operation without premature wear or loss of accuracy.

"When Precision Matters" is not just about how the machines are designed and built, but also how they are sold and supported. There are many CNC builders all over the world and many of them make hundreds of different models for every conceivable purpose.  But at Takumi, we have decided that we can best serve our customers if we focus.  When a customer needs excellent surface finish and precise, repeatable accuracy, that’s what we do best.

The process includes presale activities such as part feasibility studies, machine recommendations, test cuts and time studies all the way through to machine installation, applications engineering, training and after sale parts and service.  So, while we have a new tagline, “It’s really just a summary of what thousands of Takumi customers all over the world already know, that ‘When Precision Matters’ means Takumi.”
